Winter is the season of love and nostalgia
WELCOME, WINTER!
Your late dawns and chilled breath makes me lazy but I love you nonetheless for these warm and beautiful mornings.
There are almost uncountable reasons to love winter.
But isn’t it the best kind of love that is unconditional? Isn’t it the best kind of warmth that embraces your soul protecting it from the frigid world?
Since my childhood days, winter kind of excites me! No, not because of Christmas! Spending Christmas alone at home was rather painful. Then?
THE MORNINGS!
Hell NO!
Don’t even think I am an early riser.
The only difference between a winter morning and the rest was that I used to wake up happy! Winter has always been the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, the smell of freshly made coffee and the blankets! It is still, at the age of 30, a happy time to sleep and to wake up to the sun rays on my face beating out the chilling winds.
Another weird thing that was probably copyrighted by my crazy family was – my grandmom used to collect all the water bottles, fill them up and kept them in the sun. Trust me! it’s the best trick to motivate yourself to have water even in the winter season.
Now, I stay alone, away from home, away from family. Winter is no more a season of my mother’s incredible coffee, the lazy lunches, or getting everything in hand without even getting out of the warm cover of my own blanket – the only thing that stayed constant is waking up Happy and the Water Bottle Trick!
When the whole world is cold and tough around us, the winter sun keeps our soul alive with the warmth we deserve.
Happy Winters!
